Surveys, data collection, could be use in multiple different ways in the classroom. I if were to use surveys within my classroom I would use it mainly for peer reviews, whenever my students have group or partner work. I think surveys will be most useful for students who are in college because it allows them to conduct research easier. Excel would be more beneficial because of the ability to store everything you need, date wise, in one place. As a teacher, I would use Excel mainly to keep track of grades and attendance. With Excel, I can find the average, mean, and median scores for each assignment. Topics that I found most interesting while viewing other classmates' blog would have to be how they use the technology in different ways. ILP #2 Prezi Presentation

For ILP #2 I decided to create Prezi Presentation. I have never really used Prezi because I always thought PowerPoint was easier, but to my surprise it was actually easier than PowerPoint. My Prezi is on five steps teachers can use to help their class prepare for a debate. I chose this topic because debates are very common especially in an English Classroom. With using Prezi, I was able to do exactly what I wanted without getting frustrated which is a big plus for me. Twitter  My experience with Twitter has been an good experience. So far I have learned a lot about the different ways the educational systems works when it comes to minorities. I knew minor details about what is going in in schools, but with twitter it has rally opened my eyes as to what is going on. The benefits of twitter is that I am allowed to see what my peers are thinking as well as I get the type of things  that may pop up on their feeds. If the things that they post interest me, I can look more into it.  Only issues that i'm experiencing with Twitter is remembering to tweet every week.  Web Design Assignment   A new skill that I acquired while doing my web design will have to be how to use Wiki pages. I have decided to view Mr. John Stinchfield's website , a wonderful English teacher at Florida State University Schools. Mr. Stinchfield teaches AP Language and Composition and  English III (honors), which is typically eleventh grade. On his website he has an about me page that informs us on his: educational background, professional experiences, certifications, professional affiliations, research activities, dissemination and service. On all the pages there is a link to the Syllabi as they corresponds with the class he teaches (AP. Lang and English 3), the journals for each period and he post the weekly lesson plans and units. I started using Twitter when I was my senior year for leisure and recreational use. I would interact with different friends that I was following. I begin to start using Twitter more when I took freshmen composition class. My professor made the class tweet 10 times a week about things we were doing in our lives. In addition, some of the tweets had to be related to the course and unit we were studying. Since, the classes that required us to use twitter, had us use it in the same sense.  It was beneficial because it allows me and peers to see  how others are thinking and allowed use to interact with each other. Twitter might be helpful because I can use it in the same way but do it for more participation within my classes.
