I started using Twitter when I was my senior year for leisure and recreational use. I would interact with different friends that I was following. I begin to start using Twitter more when I took freshmen composition class. My professor made the class tweet 10 times a week about things we were doing in our lives. In addition, some of the tweets had to be related to the course and unit we were studying. Since, the classes that required us to use twitter, had us use it in the same sense. It was beneficial because it allows me and peers to see how others are thinking and allowed use to interact with each other. Twitter might be helpful because I can use it in the same way but do it for more participation within my classes.
I feel like depending on where the a school is located depends on the level of success they will have. For Instance, students who attend school in low-income are have limited resources for things such as mac laptops and iPad, which limits to learning with what they have. Some cause of the digital divide is simply where the school is located and if the government wants to grant those districts with funds to purchase new technology. I don't think it would hinder me in anyway, I personally prefer the old school way of learning because I feel as though the student gets more knowledge that way.
The academic software that I'm going to use the most of is Microsoft Office and Google Drive. For they make independent and group projects easier and more efficient for most students. With Google Drive my future students could thrive so much better when they do not have to inconveniently interrupt each of their schedules. Two software tools that I would like to implement in my class is a class twitter page and kahoot. For both of those tools they require participation in a fun way.
