Twitter
My experience with Twitter has been an good experience. So far I have learned a lot about the different ways the educational systems works when it comes to minorities. I knew minor details about what is going in in schools, but with twitter it has rally opened my eyes as to what is going on. The benefits of twitter is that I am allowed to see what my peers are thinking as well as I get the type of things that may pop up on their feeds. If the things that they post interest me, I can look more into it. Only issues that i'm experiencing with Twitter is remembering to tweet every week.
A new skill that I acquired while doing my web design will have to be how to use Wiki pages. This was my first time using a Wiki page it I feel as though it was very easy to maneuver. I like how we were able to see what everyone in the group was doing, so if something needs fixing we can let each other know. In addition, with the permission of an group member, one can fix it themselves from their own computer. My group did really well for the most part so I don't we need to improve on anything. I would like to go more in depth with how to use Wiki pages though. I would use this with multiple group assignments because it is very beneficial and all counterparts do not have to be in the same room to get the assignment done.
Assistive and Adaptive Technologies
Assistive and adaptive technologies are used to support learners with disabilities by providing those students with different technologies that will help them achieve in school. For instance, students with dyslexia are provides tolls such as spell checkers and speech recognition software to help them write better. I have not nor do I know anyone who uses these technologies, but one of my mentees have dyslexia and I can help him out now by providing these tools for him. The only challenges that may occur while using assistive and adaptive technologies is not noticing when a student is has a disability and is struggling with his or her work. My mentee has a learning disability that is not noticeable to other if you do not work with him one-on-one, so just being aware of what is going on may be the only concern.

I also am having the same problem with remembering to Tweet, but I found setting an alarm to remind me helps some! It definitely is a challenge though!
